Our Building Process

We meet to discuss your desires and goals for your timber cabin

We then custom design the plans for your new cabin

We fabricate and build you the timber cabin of your dreams

We assemble your cabin onto your foundation/sub-floor

After your cabin has been assembled, it is up to you to complete the roof, add windows and doors and the interior buildout, including finishes.
Depending on your location, we can provide reliable, reputable contractors that can help take you through the final stages of a turn key or lock up build.

The cabins below include all final finishing and lockup details completed by your contractor.

We do

  • We build the timber portion of your cabin.

    Including: Post & beam structure, timber walls, timber floor joists (loft), ridge posts & beam and porch posts & beams.

  • We set it up on your foundation and subfloor.

  • Optional: Timber dormers, stairs & railings, porch rafters and board and batten siding (for gables).

We don’t do

  • We don’t build to lock up or to turn key. This means that we will build and install your cabin structural shell. Additional elements like your roof, windows, doors and interior finishing are handled by you or your contractor.

With nearly 50 years of experience, Monty Ollenberger has devoted his career to not only building high-quality, energy-efficient log cabins but also full scale homes around the world. His expertise and commitment set the standard for every Surefit project we build.

Chuck Tait serves as the Sales and Project Manager for Surefit Cabins and brings over 25 years of experience across the construction and manufacturing sectors. Chuck blends his extensive industry knowledge with a passion for timber and log building, innovative solutions, and exceptional client service making him an essential part of ensuring successful projects and building lasting client relationships.
