  • We specialize in post and beam timber shells, offering custom designs that provide a rustic and timeless aesthetic. Our timber and square wall log shells can be tailored to your specific project needs.

  • The choice is yours based on your site requirements and preferences. Common foundation types, include concrete piers, screw piles, crawl space, basement, or slab. We’ll include your foundation choice with your custom drawings.

  • Partially. We provide the ridge beam (spine of the roof) and you or your contractor will be responsible for completing the roofing system according to your design/plan. This generally includes dimensional lumber that you can acquire at your local building supplier.

  • You will need to add your own windows and doors after we provide the timber shell. This allows you to select styles and materials that best fit your vision. The openings will be cut out according to your plan and ready for window/door installation.

  • No, we focus on the timber shell construction. You or your contractor will handle interior finishes, including plumbing and electrical rough in and fixtures, kitchen and flooring, etc.

  • Our timber shells are designed to perform well in warm and cold climates. The thermal mass of the wall timbers and ceiling insulation, along with thermal windows and log chinking ensure we meet energy codes and provide excellent overall insulation.

  • Absolutely! Our sound construction methods have been tried and true for hundreds of years. This means we not only meet structural standards but also provide a durable and stable building.

  • Yes, our buildings are easily engineered, and we can provide guidance or referrals to help you meet local building codes and standards.

  • Delivery can be as quick as 2 weeks. Setup of the timber shell typically takes 3 to 4 days. The overall timeline can vary based on the complexity of your project and factors such as permits and site preparation, etc. We recommend discussing your specific timeline during the planning stages.

  • We primarily use Sitka Spruce, Douglas Fir, Hemlock and Red Cedar (available by special order).

  • All our cabins are custom-made to order, so you can specify any size to suit your vision. From smaller cozy cabins to a family home. Show us your dream!

  • Yes, we have an in-house drafts person who can create custom plans tailored to your needs. We’ll work with you to create the perfect design/layout that you’ll love.

  • Our primary market is Western Canada (BC, AB & SK). However, we can ship anywhere in North America and internationally.
